A gallery of aquatint etchings from the Peak District, the Lakes and Lancashire
These etchings are mainly based on a stretch of the River Derwent between Ladybower and Rowsley.
I’ve used a set size of copper plate, 10 x 15 cm, to experiment with aquatints since 2006. The size of the plate brings out qualities in the aquatint that is hard to achieve on a larger plate. I love the softness of this form of printing.
